Living Labs

In SOILS4MED a Living Lab is a collaborative, multi-actor space where science and practice meet, and where monitoring tools, indicators, and soil information systems are co-designed, tested, and validated in real conditions. In SOILS4MED, Living Labs are established across the major agroecological regions of the Mediterranean, forming an integrated network of field sites that spans Southern Europe, North Africa, and the Near East. Each site is both a scientific observatory and a platform for capacity building — generating harmonized data while fostering the local ownership that will keep these systems alive long after the project ends.

Explore the individual Living Labs below to discover the study areas, the partners involved, and the soil health challenges each site is addressing.
