Funded under the PRIMA Programme (Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area), within the Horizon Europe framework, SOILS4MED is a 42-month project running from May 2023 to October 2026, with a total budget of €4,100,000. It is coordinated by Prof. Claudio Zucca at the University of Sassari (UNISS), Italy, and brings together a consortium of 16 research units across 10 countries representing the full geographic and ecological diversity of the Mediterranean basin — from Spain, France, Italy, and Greece in the north, to Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, and Turkey in the south and east.
